Music at Zion Lutheran Church

  • Mosaic Praise Team
    • Who is the Mosaic Praise Team?
      • Zion’s Praise Teams, known as the Mosaic teams, lead the music in our Sunday contemporary 10:45 services.  Just like a mosaic tile with many facets and colors, our mission is to enhance the worship experience with blended styles of music using our gifts and talents in which we’ve been given.  The teams consist of many musically talented members from all ages, coming together in lifting praises with voice and instrument during our worship time.Currently we have two different groups alternating between Sunday late service (10:45am).  If you are interesting in joining one of the groups, please email Mary Beth Kistler.  We are always looking for more musicians and singers to join us!
    • Practice Schedule
      • We practice between 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday evenings in the sanctuary, and Sunday mornings between 9:30am-10:30am.

  • Women’s Ensemble
    • This group was formed for singers interested in being in a choir, but who are unable to attend the Adult Choir. Approximately 10-15 singers from age 14-100 are needed. The Women’s Ensemble meets the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of each month at 4:15pm in the church balcony.

  • Handbells
    • Be able to count to 4 and be willing to commit to attending EVERY rehearsal and play for church once a month or more.  Adult Handbell Choir rehearses are Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm in the music room.

  • Jubilation

  • Adult Choir
    • Have the desire to sing praises to God, lead the congregation in worship 3 times a month for regular and festival services and be willing to commit to attendance at weekly rehearsals.
Rehearses for the Adult Choir are Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the church balcony. Consider being a part of this group. (Statistics show that people who sing, live longer.)

  • Instrumentalists
    • Instrumentalists needed for special services and events. We need musicians of all levels and on all instruments: – brass, woodwinds, recorders, string, guitars, percussion. If you play or have played an instrument and would like to play in a small group, please contact Randy Morris. We’ll give you an opportunity to use your talent.
