On October 14th we will celebrate LWML Sunday here at Zion.
What is LWML? The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Support the LWML mission grants by bringing your mites Sunday, October 14.
2011-2013 Primary Targets for LWML
Growing in the Lord – Women of today find guidance for their lives, encouragement for their walk,
and inspiration for joyful service through intentional study of the Word.
Valuing all women – Women of all ages, stages of life, races, locations, and cultures are welcomed,
mentored, and encouraged to be active partners in the share mission of LWML.
Living the mission – As the “Face of LWML”, women are engaged in opportunities to use their gifts to impact the world for Christ in their daily lives.
“Reach Everyone as Christ’s Hands” is the vision statement throughout the Rocky Mountain District LWML over the next 2 years. How should we reach out? Start with these basic steps: pray, give thanks, smile, say an encouraging word, show God’s love to those around us, and gather mites for mission grants. www.lwml.org has some great resources available to give you more information. “Mustard Seed” devotions are also available at that site – sign up and a daily devotion will be emailed directly to your inbox.
