Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., the City of Brighton, and Brighton Housing Justice will be holding the 7th Annual Help for Homes for Seniors and the Disabled on May 5, 2012. Once again, volunteers will come together to paint, do yard work, or fix up homes needing minor exterior repairs. Volunteer teams of 8-10 people are needed to help, and are currently being recruited. Teams may represent their church, neighborhood, club, a single family, or any other group who’d like to spend time together while helping others in the community. Teams will be assigned to help paint, clean yards, or make other minor repairs planned for the homes selected. For those who have the skills and the time, but no team, Brothers Redevelopment will help connect them with a team in need of their talents.
A meeting for all Team Captains will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 6;30pm., at the Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway. The deadline to volunteer is April 27.
