ZLC Youth Night – Sunday, November 18 – after late service (12noon) For our ZLC Youth Night tonight, we are going to be helping the Christian Care Board pack up & deliver Thanksgiving baskets to 8-10 needy families. We’ll be making cards too to go along with the baskets – so bring some card-making supplies if you have them. Please meet in the fellowship hall directly following the late service today!
LOCK-In – Friday, November 30– 7th- 12th graders! You are invited to a lock-in at Mount Calvary in Fort Lupton. You can bring a pillow if you get tired, but the youth group at Mount Calvary is putting together fun games, and service projects. If you are interested in going, we will need to know no later than 11/20. Parents: we will need some chaperones – so if you are interested, please let us know (we can take turns . . ) Please let us know ASAP if you want to go – email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or talk to Carrie Thompson or Sara Frisk.
Poinsettia’s ZLC Youth will be taking orders for poinsettia’s this year! Order forms will be available in the weekly church bulletin – or in the narthex. You can also email us (email@example.com), or call the church office with your order.
Deck the ZLC boughs with holly – Fa La La La, etc,. etc., We’ll meet at 9am at church on Saturday, December 1st for those who want to help decorate the church! ‘Tis the season!
Coffee Hour – December 2 ZLC Youth will be sponsoring Coffee Hour this morning. Please meet at church at 7am to help set up. If you can help, please let us know. We’ll need about 3-4 helpers.
ZLC Youth Night – December 2 – 5:30pm We’ll be making and sending Christmas Cards to our honored Vets and Troops and show them how much we love and appreciate them! We’ll be sending them via Holiday Mail for Heroes through the Red Cross. All are welcome to come and join in on the fun. Feel free to bring some card making supplies (please no glitter). We’ll be playing Christmas music, and have hot cocoa and candy canes!
ZLC Float – Festival of Lights Are you interested in representing our church during the City of Brighton’s Festival of Lights this year? The parade will be held on Saturday, December 8th. We need help with set up, decorating, walkers/wavers, and tear down. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board – we need about 20-30 people (adults & kids) to help with this event. If your child wants to walk during the parade, we ask that they are accompanied by a parent.
Soup Supper is coming . . .December 9 (following the Christmas Concert) Tickets will be sold between services until December 2 – or you can purchase tickets from any of the youth group members! $5/ticket. Supper will be served directly following the Christmas concert in the gym. Youth, please bring a dessert for our dessert potluck – let’s have a bake-off!
ZLC Youth Night – December 16 – 5:30pm We will meet at church, play some games, and have a Christmas Cookie Contest! You’ll need to bring at least a dozen of your best Christmas cookies. We’ll have (3) categories: Most Creative, Best Tasting, and Overall Appearance. More details to come – so make sure you check on our Facebook page, the website or in the church bulletin.
Get in the Christmas Spirit! Help get everyone in the Christmas spirit as we go caroling at the Brighton Care Center on Tuesday, December 18th. Let’s meet at 6:00pm at the Brighton Care Center (2025 Egbert St.). Bring happy voices and smiling faces!
ZLC Youth Christmas Service – Sunday, December 30 The ZLC Youth will be putting on the worship service for both the 8am & 10:30am service on Sunday, December 30. It’s a high-tech ‘Message in the Manger’. We’ll put a modern technological twist on the age-old story of the birth of Jesus. We will start having practices in early December – so if you are interested, please email us and let us know so we can coordinate rehearsals.
Bible Study – All middle school and high school kids are welcome and encouraged to join our Sunday morning bible study class. 7th & 8th graders meet with Miss Erin in the basement, and 9th – 12th graders meet with Pastor Robb in the teacher’s lounge.
